Jolie's Story
Life
I moved from Fayetteville to Los Angeles in 1997 after my divorce. We split amicably with no kids. I spent 4 years in L.A. working in the music retail biz. Met A LOT of celebs! Transferred to Richmond, Virginia in 2001, and I am still here. After working in local government in the mental health/mental retardation field, I am now at a private agency specializing in supported employment for people with disabilities. It is the best job I have ever had, and I was recently made regional manager. I'm active in my church, Skipwith United Methodist. In fact, I went to Singapore and Cambodia in January to do mission work with 4 other members of my church. I also did the lead in our church's spring play, "A Mayhem in Mayfair", as the inspector. I'm still single--heck, I actually prefer it that way now! And I love movies; they facsinate me. I've probably seen more movies than a normal person should. I probably should've gone to film school to be a movie critic. Oh well, I'll do that in my next life (haha). I started writing again-- after I quit smoking 5 years ago, I found writing more difficult, for some reason. I also love being in Virginia. I know I'll probably never leave here. (Never say "never," right?) But Richmond is perfect to me-- its in the middle of the state close to the ocean, the mountains and D.C. It's a pretty good size, but you don't have to go far at all to be in the country. And I LOVE all the history that's here!! Plus, its beautiful. That's about it for me, pretty boring, huh?
