Life
Hi, and greetings from Seguin, Texas (suberb of San Antonio and Austin.)
Have not attended many class reunions but plan to attend in 1908 if we have one. 50 years is very important (wow, can it really be that long since graduation?)
I was widowed 15 months ago after being married for 42 years. I have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren, 3 of which we helped raise. My oldest grandson is married now and he and his wife decided to get two puppies instead of starting a family right away.
Guess he decided not to make me a great-grandmother right away.
About 10 years ago I started studying T'ai Chi in a small school in Seguin. After about 1-1/2 years I transferred to a larger school in Austin and have had the privilege of studying with a T'ai Chi master. Teaching 4 classes of T'ai Chi a week and doing transcription for a psychologist very part time as well as run...Expand for more
ning a mini-mini-ranch keeps me pretty busy. I am a member of the Lions Club and involved in a craft club and very active in my Catholic church. Just started to "socialize" which is a big move after all the years of being married. Things really are different on the dating scene now - I am sure some of you have experienced this for yourselves.
I currently have two horses, 1 Tennessee Walker and 1 Quarter Horse. Keep a large cat population to discourage snakes of all colors and a crazy part poodle dog.
My oldest son teaches English at a university in Thailand so am trying to make a trip there before he moves on to another area. He is a very free spirit and at 40 has never married - came close, however, twice. He is a writer and musician having cut several CDs out with his musical buddies.
Guess that is about the extent of it.
