Great to see so many familiar names!! I was at H H Arnold in 1966/7. It was a fascinating time for me, as being Irish and having grown up going to German schools, an American military high school was a totally new experience!! I mean TOTALLY!!! I was one of those kids who kept a low profile, shy really. The only "noise" I made was at the folk concerts (see 1966 yearbook). I left a few months before the actual 1967 graduation day to go to another school and later got my degree in German. Some of you may remember the "Civilian Club", probably from having brunch there on Sunday mornings with your parents. My father ran the club and we lived above it at the time. Great place to be! I lived in Germany for a total of 28 years, then in France for nearly 4, am now in England and about to move back to Germany. My life h...Expand for more
as been a fascinating adventure, filled with great loss as well as great happiness. No longer married, but I have three wonderful children, Kevin (36 who sadly died three days before his 21st birthday of cancer), Nici (33)and Tim (28) and five lovely grand children. Oh yes, I am now woeking as an artis so check out my website at artandtherapies.com. My great loves? - my partner, my family, incl. my fabulous mum, my puppy, gourmet cooking and dining out, music, theatre, foreign languages, travelling, world news, people, computing and loads more. Oh, and yes, I still occasionally play the guitar and sing a bit.
Would love to hear from anyone who was in Wiesbaden in the 50s to late 60s, perhaps even remembers the Civilian Club etc. Great place Wiesbaden! Hope you are all doing well and enjoying life. Love to you all!
