I was in first grade with Mark W. and Darrel b. at Arthur H. Smith school and I have the picture to prove it. I learned English there with Dick and Jane. Then they moved us across town to the New Elementary where someone hit me with a basketball in the nose during recess. I looked like a clown. My second grade teacher used to take a nap during recess, she was a "mature" woman. I used to hold hands with two boys during music class. I loved both of them dearly! I still think about them. Not mentioning names! Third grade put me back at my original school where the race for space was on. I taught the class Spanish with Paco and Rosita. I got a "B" in Spanish. My mom called Mr. Rayburn. I read so much during fourth grade I went through all the colors in the SRA box. I decided to be like Mrs. Warner and become a Teacher. Fifth grade...boys!
