Life
Wow, I can hardly believe we are now OVER 50! (well, most of us are now older, but not me. I'll be 35 from now till I die!)
I am married to the love of my life, Don, for 34 years. We have one son, Matthew who is 30. We live in Knoxville, TN, but lived in Modesto, CA the first 5 years of our marriage while Don was in seminary and served at a church there. It has been a wonderful life.
Don is an associate minister at our church, Sevier Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. After many years in the sales arena, from cosmetics to animal health, I opted for a more flexible career as a virtual assistant to give me the flexibility to ...Expand for more
care for my parents. My father passed away in Sept. '07 after 5 years of dementia, and my mom passed away just 2 short years and 3 months later from a pulmonary embolism, Jan. 4, 2010. I always had "young" parents, but they aged quickly and their life on this earth was way too short.
In our "down" time, we enjoy boating, time with friends, movies, gardening and travel.
Our son, Matthew, is married (Jan 1, 2011) to Savanna and her daughter Kaylee, age 5.
We are finally empty nesters! And LOVING it!
Life has taught me much. The biggest lessons I've learned is not to burn bridges and to value the ones you love while you have them.
