Janis's Story
Life
After High School, I played at Pierce College for three years. Went to SFVSC for one year and transfered to Chico State where I received my BA in Recreation Administration. I then went to work for the Burbank Parks & Recreation Department for about 5 years.
I worked for the Camp Fire Girls for a few years and returned to CSU Northridge to work on a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. While in school I worked with Developmentally Disabled Adults in residential program in Woodland Hills. After Graduation w...Expand for more
ith MA, I became a vocational counselor for the Los Angeles Job Corps for 5 years. After burn out struck, I returned to CSUN as a Administrative Support person for a grant project. I returned to the classroom to get a certificate in College Student Personnel Services. I then moved to the Dean's office of the School of the Arts and became the producer of the Guest Artist Series for the School. I am now the Business Manager for the CSUN Performing Arts Center.
