Janis's Story
Hi this is Janis DeBardi. Not sure how to describe myself as i was in high school, i do know that i really did not want to be there. The school dances and PE were my favorite things to do in school. Didnt much like math and isnt that interesting as one of my professions is a Civil engineering Technician and Civil Construction Inspector.
I still live in Washington State. I spent twenty years working for San Juan county and once my son, now 33 with a beautiful family, also lives in Friday Harbor, WA.....once he graduated high school i fled for the mainland again. I went everywhere and did a little of everything, I did have alot of fun....after taking care of my father for his last two years of life, i then moved back ...Expand for more
to Friday Harbor, where i have a beautiful granddaughter who is five years old today.
I am still working full time, as a contract inspector, i work for the Town of Friday Harbor and the Port of Friday Harbor, both inspecting at the port and the airport and road improvements. I also am a hospice caregiver and that my second profession.
I spend my time kayaking in the summer as well as riding my fat tire beach cruser 3 speed bike, that is about as fast i want to travel. I frequent the beaches here all year long. I walk all over the place by choice. I like to listen to music, most of the time i like it loud.
I own a small home here in Friday Harbor am very content with life except i am still single.....life is good......
