Janis's Story
Right after high school, I got married and had a son but the marriage ended after 3 years, he was a Marine and too much separation I guess. Stayed single for 5 years and then married a man who was in the Army and lived at Patrick Air Force Base in Satellite Beach and then moved to Virginia, where we had a daughter, Christine. After 2 years, we moved back to Daytona and except for a short time when we lived in Nevada, we have been here ever since, which is good because most of my family is still here also. 9), and Michael (7). Our son Jim passed away in 2001 at age 29 but he lives on in our hearts. Christine and the boys live in Port Orange and we see them often. We love to go to Disney and NC mountains as well as other places. We just like to have fun doing whatever. I love to write and have several stories, poems, etc. in the works. Hope to be published some day. I love to play the piano (I'm a beginner) and I love music and movies. I think they wrote in the senior yearbook that I was a great collector of souvenirs. I still like to collect things, not necessarily souvenirs though.
