Janna's Story

Life Hhhmm.. Thought I'd filled this part in, sorry, I'm not online at the time, filling this in at the library so I can't put any pics on. I've been married to the same man for almost 20 years come Nov. 7th. We have 3 kids, Dustin who is 19, a Soph here at Cowley on a full Cross Country Scholarship, he is quite the runner. Alishia is 17 1/2, a Senior this year and Travis who is 16 and a Junior this year. I manage to stay busy between a part time job, being mom & wife. We have a Rottweiler, her name is Jasmine and a cat named Oreo. Whenever we get a chance which isn't very often, I love to go out dancing. I also love hiking & doing things w/ my kids as a family. School Oh my gosh.. I don't know if I could handle being laughed at about that, altho that was a awful long time ago and I am not quite the same as I was back then. I'm alot more outspoken now, have a tattoo on my left hip area of a baby grand piano w/ roses & barbwire under it, got my belly button & toungue both pierced, & drink sometimes, whereas back then you didn't see me touch any alcohol, listen to all sorts of music and I'm alot more open minded about things now. Wish I knew what I know now back then, (don't we all, lmao.. ) Uumm.. I'll say a crush I had was on a person in my class & was there at Shidler from Kindergarten on up to Graduation. The teacher that probably had the biggest influence on me was my Band & Choir teacher, Kathy Eby. She always said I could do anything in music if I set my mind to it, music was always something I excelled in & never was afraid to express myself when it came to music. During my 2 years at Cowley, I was also on the Dance Line. I'd still like to finish my degree in Music one of these days & maybe teach Gradeschool music. I loved doing that when I was a Subsitute School Teacher, subbing for the Band, Vocal & even the Strings & Guitar classes they have at the schools here in Ark City. Probably one of more rather embarrassing moments back then was when I was r...Expand for more
iding around one evening w/ a couple of friends & some boys thought it would be funny to moon us. Sorry tho, don't think you could get the best of me now, lmao.. Alot has happened since back then. My more memorable moments all pretty much had to do w/ Music, like going to State in Piano my Jr & Sr. year & Band & Vocal competitions. College Well.. college was certainly a level up from high school. I was scared to death at first but eventually came to like it after I got used to it. College was where I had alot of first.. I was in college the first time I ever drank a beer, (Coors Light in a bottle is my fav. now, aside from Lime flavored Vodka which I like in shots, ;-) ) I was in college the first time I ever went 4 wheelin or muddin w/ a guy everyone called "Cowboy", scared the crap out of me, but then I got to like it, first time I had ever tried a drug of any sort, I can't believe I was so naive.. well, I guess I can.. but anyways.. someone told me that this little piece of paper would make me laugh.. Yes, it was a hit of LSD but I didn't know that at the time, I was like "Yeah, right, whatever.. & swallowed it whole, come around supper time in the college cafeteria, no less & I started laughing my ass off, & I couldn't quit laughing to save my life, lol.. Luckily someone got me out of there & stayed w/ me for the next 8 - 10 hrs.. can't remember now, until the trip was over. I was in college when I first started going to clubs, found out I loved to dance, learned how to 2 step, swing dance, electric slide, ect.. The latest is called the "CatWalk" which I bout had a cow because my 16 year old daughter & her friend, my oldest sons girlfriend are the ones that showed me. Went to a couple of parties out on the river at night time, but this one fight kinda scared me off, a person was pushed into the fire we had going & he ended up in the hospital. Yeah, I was still a wuss, didn't want to be involved in a fight. But I will now if you push me too far. Not long a
