Janne's Story
Janne is from Eureka, California. She is married with Karen Ramsey. She has two wonderful children, Evan & Alysia Gibbs, and a sweet grandson, Rhys Kinek Van Gibbs, from her prior 21 yr marriage to David Gibbs. She served as an officer in the Army Nurse Corp during the Vietnam war, and then continued her education & attended Humboldt State University (Major: Nursing/BSN), & then CSU Dominguez Hills (MSN) & Sonoma State University (FNP). She recently retired as a Professor of Nursing at College of the Redwoods, after 32 years of teaching, but currently teaches part-time OB clinicals. Nurse, FNP, Pain Specialist, Integral Holistic Coach, Healing Touch Practitioner, & Guided Imagery Practitioner. She is a Networker for the Humboldt Chapter of the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). And, she also served on the Executive Board of the Eureka Woman's Club (EWC) as President and Corresponding Secretary, and currently serves as an active member.
Her interests include: gourmet cooking, jewelry making & crafts, traveling, working out at the gym, dancing, enjoying the outdoors, regularly attending HSU Center Arts performances, watching TV/movies, playing cards/games, and doing volunteer work within the Eureka Woman's club, especially for the benefit of women and children.
