Jarod's Story
Life
I live on a small farm of about 60 acres, and lease about 180 acres (mainly for hay). My wife Amanda, daughter Lexie, and I take advantage of whatever free time we get to go riding horses, four-wheelers, or just walking through the pastures to check cows. Lexie does barrel racing, and pole bending in shodeo's during the summer and fall months so that keeps us kind of busy. ttle. We have alot of fun there. Lexie calls it (arena) her "play-pen". The arena or the barn is where we spend most of our time when we are not at work, or baling hay. About the most exciting thing that happens on our place is when the new baby calves and colts are born. (or when the bull gets out, talk about a thrilling experience)
Workplace
I have been employed with the City of Sallisaw since 1999. I work at the Water Treatment plant as a Supervisor of Plant Operations.
