Jarrid's Story
Life
Hello to all. Since graduation from SHHS I crammed four years of education into five for my B.S. in Aerospace. It took that long because I found my first love. Beer. Man, do I love beer. All kinds of beer. After graduating I started, but did not finish my Masters in Aerospace Education. Grad school costs a lot more than undergrad. From that point I started my flying career as a flight instructor in Smyrna and Nashville, Tennessee. While instructing and waiting tables I found myself starving. Not for more in my life. Nope. I was really starving. So, I packed up and moved to Atlanta. I took a job at a restaurant waiting tables and another job flight instructing. I did this for about a year before getting my first "real" job as a pilot. I moved back to Murfreesboro and started flying for an air charter company flying multiple turbo-prop aircraft and soon after the Learjet 25 and 35. In 1999 I interviewed and was hired to fly a Learjet 31 for a company in Dallas, TX. So I packed up again and moved my butt to Texas. d a new job with a company in Ohio. This company allowed me to live where I wanted. In 2004 I took a new job with the company that I am currently employed with. I have moved up with this company. I am currently a Check Airman and Standardization Captain for this company. In 2006 my wife gave birth to our son. So, with a full house I think we are done multiplying. We spend our time with our children and getting involved in church and community activities. Yes, I still love beer. Beer is good.
College
What can I say? Beer is good. I was really bored with most college classes. It seemed to me that I had already learned in high school most of what I had to endure in college. Beer is good. So I would drop classes for sake of boredom. MMM, beer. So, it took one extra year to finish my B.S. During my stay at college I earned my Private Pilots License, Instrument rating, Multiengine Commercial Instrument License, Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, and Multiengine Instrument Instructor. I started my Masters, but I didn't complete it. Beer. The fun part of my Masters work was actually at E.T.S.U. Believe it or not I was teaching teachers. Some of them like beer, too. Small world.
