Jason's Story
I attended Kettering University (formerly GMI) and once I had my bachelor's mechanical engineering, I stayed in the Flint area (Grand Blanc), was married in 2003 and currently work at Robert Bosch, LLC where I perform 1D hydraulic simulations and fatigue calculations for diesel fuel system components.
Right after we were married, my wife and I went to Esslingen Germany (near Stuttgart) where I attended a Fachhochschüle (the German equivalent of a university) for one semester. We spent every weekend traveling as far and as wide as we could manage. It was like a second honeymoon.
I'm a car nut (I've owned thirty four cars-so many cars, so little time, LOL), I'm a consistent weightlifter (I work out before work nearly every weekday morning as there's a fitness center at work). thusiast. I enjoy target shooting, whether it's shotguns, rifles or pistols. Right out of high school I worked at Latata's, an Italian restaurant that was located at Auburn and Crooks road. I worked my way up from a dishwasher to eventually become the head cook and evening kitchen manager. I learned to love cooking and nowadays I enjoy making nearly any kind of food, to the point where I do most of the cooking at home.
I teach Sunday school for 6-8th grade boys (a very rewarding task) where the science of creation is explored and tough questions are encouraged (such as: how can we say the earth is young when geological evidence suggests that the world is millions of years old?) and I also serve there as a deacon.
I have come to learn that in all things, God is good, that Christ laid down His life willingly for the forgiveness of our sins and that His love for us is unconditional and all encompassing.
