Javier's Story
The job which was the most fun was when I worked for the Southern California Gas Co. I was a field gas equipment technician working out of Beverly Hills. My service area covered, Bel Air, West Hollywood, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. The fun part was meeting celebrities. I met stars at there homes when they happened to be there. I was in the homes of Elvis, Doris Day, Dean Martin, Danny Thomas, Bob Newhart,Rock ...Expand for more
Hudson, and many others too numerous to name. I left the job after seven years only to become a police officer, a job which I wanted for as long as I can remember. I give thanks to police author Joseph Wambaugh who inspired me to become a police officer while I was on a call at his home. I later had an opportunity to be in a scene in one of his movies, "Onion Field", and work the same Divion that he last worked at.
