Jay's Story
I dont keep up with anyone from Cal Hi, just kinda lost touch with everyone after I moved to Walnut Creek. I did stop by the school once and a while, on duty though.
After graduation I went to work for the Contra Costa Sheriffs Office. Tried not to work Beat 21 (San Ramon) as arresting friends was all I did. When Prop13 budget problems hit I was laid off along with 23 others. I went to Paramedic school and worked in the Oakland area for more years than I care to remember. Was Reserve Sgt with Vallejo Police ending up in command of the Harbor Patrol. In 1999 I went to Alameda County as a full time Deputy Sheriff. Currently I am a Investigator for the Coroners Bureau.

We have kinda a strange styled marriage but it works for us. Have two boys, a 18 year old and a 15 year old. the 15 year old is autistic, the 18 year old is a big paintballer. (I am too!)
Parents now live in Walnut Creek, dad went to medic school with me and worked for the Red Cross after retiring from the Marines. He would sometimes ride with me in Oakland. He has a stroke five years ago but is still hangin on. My mom retired too. They just sit home and live the life of retirement.
The future? work 10 more years and retire to New Mexico, Inyo county, somewhere there are few people. Working in Public Safety has jaded me, I dont like people, individuals I like, people in general...nope. I want to go where there are few people.
