Life
After moving around quite a bit (Dallas > Fairbanks, Alaska > Boston > New Orleans > Louisville), I am now in Washington, DC. I married in 1991, divorced in 2002, no kids. I lived in Alaska for six years while I worked on my PhD at University of Alaska, then Boston for three years working on a postdoc at Harvard, then New Orleans for three years as a professor at Tulane, then three years as a professor at University of Louisville. I now work as a staff scientist for a non-profit group in the Washington, DC area.

o play guitar and sing, but haven't done that much for a past couple of years. Same with motorcycling (1974 BMW R90/6) and going out to hear live music. No pets, but my girlfriend has a cat.
I live in a transitional neighborhood in Northeast DC where selling crack used to be the main economic activity in the area but has recently been replaced by buying up old crack houses and flipping them to yuppies who want to move back into the city. Guess I have to admit to being one of the yuppies, although never did move to the suburbs.
