Jay's Story
Life
Growing up in Leonia was a great experience. I have many great memories of times spent with friends made in the schools, through park programs or just playing in my neighborhood. Leonia has changed in many respects since my childhood. I remember that when I walked around up town that I knew almost everybody by name and if not at least I recognized them by face. re working in Leonia, having taken a job as a police officer in 1987. I no longer live here though, as homes have become too expensive and with 5 children I needed some property for them to run around on. We packed our bags and moved up to Sussex County. My wife, Tatiana Cespedes, was also a Leonia High School student but is five years younger than me. Her sister Jessica was in our graduating class. Tatiana is the owner operator of an antiques village in Andover Borough right near where we live.
