Jay's Story
After graduating B-EHS I attended WWSC for
three years then moved to Los Angeles to
pursue a career in graphic arts production. Five years
later moved to Seattle, worked as a
typographer for more than a dozen years until
personal computers drove typesetting
shops out of business. Relocated to
western Pennsylvania in the early '90s, worked
as weekend composition foreman for The Meadville
Tribune. Lived on a small farm near Little's Corners
(the perfect name for the place...Expand for more
), raised goats
and sheep. In 1998, after the Tribune laid off
all union employees, packed up my S10
and set off on US50 to "see the USA in
my Chevrolet." Back in Mount Vernon worked
for the Copy and Print Store at the Copy & Print
Store until my my retirement in 2017. Well, semi-retirement,
still there part time
My wife, Cindy, and I live west of Mount Vernon.
Would like to thank everyone who was nice
to me in high school, didn’t appreciate
your kindness at the time.
