Jay's Story

Life Quick Update I moved to Atlanta after our 1983 graduation and have lived here since. I went to school first at Southern Tech in Marietta (it was as geekee as it sounds) and later transferred to Georgia State where I got a BA in Computer Information Systems. I co-oped with IBM (and doubled at night as a Bar Tender in Buckhead), then joined Prodigy (a lot like AOL in the early days). In 1996 I started my own company "Sales Systems International" and later sold it to GE Capital. I worked there for several years and developed a consulting practice in the Lotus Notes area which transformed into an e-business practice. I joined Allconnect.com in 1999 at the height of dot.com bubble but did NOT make ...Expand for more
$10 million dollars on my stock options. The company has survived and I am still there. Family Life: I over married in 1990. Her name is Beth, she is from a small town in south GA and went to Agnes Scott. We have two kids (both girls) one born in '95 the other in '98. Even with our cat and dog, I am still the only male in the house and get over-ruled at every turn. I highly recommend complete surrender when it comes to these matters. I just turned 41 - which is really hard to believe given the voice in my head sounds about the same as it did in 1983. While my judgment has improved I actually think I know less now than I did then. Hope you write me or at let me know you visited.
