Jean's Story
After a dramatic/traumatic high school experience, running away to Haight Ashbury and all...seemed like such a BIG Deal back then, but it was really just a sad case of me being too afraid to stand my ground and say NO! Oh, the beauty of hindsight! :)
I finally settled down and spent a year at Santa Monica College, followed by assorted office/accounting jobs in Santa Monica and L.A. Then moved to Camarillo (where my family had relocated) for a few years where I worked and pursued a life long love of dance, where I immersed myself in serious private dance (Ballet/Jazz) lessons and trained in the Royal Academy of Dancing method for about 3-4 years. When a long term relationship soured, I left Camarillo to pursue a more practical career.

g for various business valuation firms as an appraiser, where I met and married my current hubby 21 years ago. We have a 20 year old son in school at U.C. Santa Cruz. We live in Winnetka in the San Fernando Valley, but are hoping to finally get out of L.A. in the coming year or two. I have spent the past 8 or more years pursuing another lifelong passion...Halloween! I opened a seasonal Halloween store in the valley called Spooky Chic, but it has become increasingly difficult to do short term retail, with the economy in the can. I may go for broke (hopefully no pun intended) for one more season this year, depending on the economic factors a few months from now.
Have one elderly adopted Golden Retriever (my third), one son, two stepdaughters and four grandkids.
We love gold mining, trains, sailing, anything Victorian, plus haunted houses and all things Spooky!
