Jean's Story
I was in civil engineering for many years before I had my daughter who is now 17. Since then, I taught high school in science. Physics, chemistry, biology, and physical science. This past year, I was downsized, so a this point, I am unemployed.
I am married and after living all over the country, have come back to Anderson to live.
I remember almost getting locked up when we were selling ads for the yearbook and went into a paint store in Anderson that was closed. (The door was open)
I had a 1967 white Mustang -- that was my favorite car. I drove it to Illinois right after graduat...Expand for more
ion. The gas tank had rusted out at the $2.00 mark -- of course gas then was only .23 a gallon at the Hess on Murry Ave.
We would pile that car full of kids and go out to Brown's Road Bridge and swim, or go down to Broadway Lake.
Now that my daughter is a senior in high school, I remember just how much fun we had at McDuffie and try to encourage her to enjoy her senior year.
She has a couple of classes at E Camp (which is the part of McDuffie that is left). Upon walkin through those doors there I can almost hear Mr. Farmer say "Ya'll stay out of trouble now, and see you tomorrow."
