Wow, well, after high school I went to NYC for college at Stern College of Yeshiva University. After two years I left and went to Baltimore, MD and attended the Johns Hopkins School of Radiologic Technology. After graduation I worked in Atlanta, GA at the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. I met my future husband when he came down to Atlanta for a visit. After a year I moved up to Ossining, NY and Doug and I married in 1980 in my parent's living room. We had two children, Henry in 1982 and Sarah in 1984. In 1991 we moved down to Chapel Hill, NC. I worked as the office assistant in the school system's volunteer office for five years before becoming a family advocate for the Mental Health Association in Orange County in 2001. 2002 and 2003 were tumultuous years for us.
