Jean's Story
Went to Lake Erie College in Ohio. Spent three months living in Europe, mostly the Netherlands. Married John Van Dyke from Michigan. Spent four years as an Air Force wife and had two sons at the government's expense. Lived in Mount Tabor, NJ for five years, then moved to John's family farm near Ann Arbor, MI. Started a horse ridng business with daycamps, lessons in dressage and combined training, organized horse shows and events, and boarded horses. ars and have since been able to to devote full time to my lifelong passion of novel writing.
In 2001, we bought an old resort lodge on a private lake in Michigan's upper peninsula. We now spend five winter months at the farm in the lower peninsula, the rest of the year just north of the Mackinaw Bridge in the upper peninsula. We like to say our place is Heaven with Paradise just a little to the north on Lake Superior.
That's the bare facts. The living of them has been much more exciting.
