Jean's Story
Life
Just moved back to East Texas. Decided it was much cheaper living than Maine or New York. I am a widow - my husband died in 2003.
I have six kids - two in Texas, two in upstate New York, one in Philadelphia and one in Michigan. Ages 45, 43,38, 33, 28 and 26. That covers a lot of years.
I have gone back to my roots and live out in the country - have lived in New Jersey, Maine, Texas (for ten years), North Carolina, Maine and now back to Texas. Got 22 acres here and love the place. Have two German Shepherd dogs and six cats.
Retired as Registrar from The John Cooper School in The Woodlands, TX., in 1996, when my youngest son graduated from high school.
Really enjoyed that job. Worked mostly in Glens Falls before that - Freihofer Baking Co., International Paper Company in South Glens Falls to name a few. Left the area in 1976.

45th class reunion - was in the area for the weekend - had a wonderful time.

Several years have passed since I wrote my profile. I am still in Texas, still out in the country. Have different dogs now and more cats. People drop animals off in the country. Have more grandchildren now - Avery is 12; Aidan is 4 and the new baby is 6 mos. old.
My youngest son, Matt, is now a lawyer here in Texas. Mitch still works for IBM in Austin. My youngest grandson is now 2 years old. Time sure flies as we get older.
My brother and his wife live near here so we do dinners together now and then. Was in the Troy area several weeks ago for a funeral. Missed that nice New York scenery and cool weather.
Another update. Still live in Garrison, TX. My grandchildren are now 16, 8 and the baby is 4. The years are passing faster than I would like. Still would love to hear from any of my old classmates and friends.
