Life A few months after graduation I left for the Navy. Many people thought I was crazy, hell, I thought I was crazy. Turned out to be an unbelieveable experience for me. Although part of the reason I joined the Navy was to see the world, I spent my first 4 years in sunny Florida. Not a bad place to be in the month of January though. My first duty station was Homestead, FL. (Where they had that terrible hurricane a few years back - was long gone by then). Had a blast meeting people from all over the country. Met my amazing husband Tony here. We were both members of the honor guard. I folded flags and he played taps at many veterans'funerals, and believe me, in Florida there were plenty of those. Left Florida in 85' and when Tony realized he couldn't live without me, we planned our wedding while I was in England, my second duty station, where I worked as a mail courier of the "secret" kind and traveled all over Great Britian.
