Jean's Story
Life
After graduation from the Mount I went to Nursing school at St. Francis. Upon graduation I moved to Houston where I attended he University of Houston and worked at The Methodist Hospital for several years in a variety of capacities, including the heart transplant unit.
I eventually attended Washington University in St. Louis, returned briefly to Houston and then moved to Washington State in 1975. I have been here ever since except for brief exile from 1982 to 1987 when I lived in California. During that t...Expand for more
ime I was involved in the creation of the first alternative to discipline program for chemically dependent and mentally ill nurses in the country.
I returned to Washington in 1987 and started the Washington State Department of Health's alternative to license discipline program for chemically dependent health professionals, a program I still administer.
I have one daughter and one grandaughter -who is the cutest kid on the planet. We plan to retire in 2 years and spend part of our year (the wet part) in Arizona.
