Jean's Story
Jean is from San Diego, California. She is referred to as Jeannie and is married to Murray Steeg, a 1965 graduate from Sweetwater High School. Jean's schools include Chula Vista High School. She later attended San Diego State University (Fine Arts & Humanities) and then went on to complete her Masters and Doctorate. Jean worked at San Diego Unified School District, and retired as a principal in 2003. She then became the Executive Director for the school district’’s Administrators Association (union for classified and certificated management) for 10 years. Jean also taught at National University, UCSD, and Chapman University for 17 years in the Administrator credential and Masters Program.

More about Jean:"I retired from SDUSD in 2003 as a school principal and left The Administrators Association of San Diego City Schools as Executive Director the end of December, 2011. During 2013-2015, was Interium Chief of HR for SDUSD and worked on a special project for the Superintendent. I remain active with serving on the boards for Phi Delta Kappa and the Association of CA School Administrators - Region 18.".
"I have been married to Murray Steeg, (Sweetwater High 65) for 47 years. We have two daughters and two grandkids, ages 1 and 3 and one on the way".
