Jeane's Story
Life
It took me years to find Mr. Right. I got to the point of looking for Mr. OK You'll Do. My good friend always tried fixing me up with everyone. I did not care for her choices in men. On day she said "You have got to meet my Pastor". This time she was right.
I have now been married for 15 years. He is not Mr. OK You'll Do at all. In fact, he is the Love of my life now and forever. He is the man I had been dreaming of for years. I guess I had to wait a long time because God was preparing me for the ministry. So I am now a Pastor's wife. I have learned to be a support for him and a help to others. That is a daily challange.
We where too old to have children of our own when we got married. That's ok though. We have family that have kids and many kids in the churches that he pastors. In the United Methodist Church, we are moved from time to time. I have now lived in 4 different parts of the state. The longest we were ...Expand for more
at one church was 6 years. The shortest was 1. He was there for 2 years but we got married half way through so I was only there for 1.
I taught Physical Education at Ferry Hall in 71-72 and 72-73. I followed Kathy Jones. The Seniors that graduated in 72, who were Freshmen when I was a Senior in 69, were the only ones that I shared all 4 years with.
I have been a banker for almost 30 years. I have had many positions in the bank but I can not seem to get a bank job in Stigler, OK where we live now. This is a very small town and the people that have jobs keep them until they retire. No one is ready to retire yet so I am out of my experties trying something new.
I did manage to get a job at the local hospital in accounting. I have now been there 1 1/2 years. I am enjoying it very much.
May our Lord shine his face brightly on you as you go through life. I would love hearing from old friends.
In His unendless love...Jeane
