Jeanette's Story

Life After graduating from high school I continued being a professional model which I did for about five years. I also went to Santa Barbara Business College for a year and Hart's Business College for a few months. I was a majorette for the Santa Barbara Elks 613 Drum and Bugle from 1967 to 1971. I worked at the Medical Arts Lab from 1968 to 1972 as a Medical Assistant., I have two son's Tim and Bob Brown I worked at Foothill School in the lunch room as a cashier for a short time and then I volunteered in the library and playground. I helped in my son's classroom's and was roommother for both of my son's class's. I decided to get a job. I was hired at Cardiovacular Pulmonary Medical Group, Inc for Dr. R. Bruce McFadden and Dr. John H.K. Vogel, from 1989 to 2004 as a Medical Assistant and Medical Receptionist. As of September 2004 I became totally disabled. Due to back and knee surgery. It was very difficult to say good bye to all of the patients. Many of them felt like family. Now I spend my time with my granddaughter Annie Lynn. She is the daughter of my youngest son Bob. Bob named her Annie in honor of my mother Anne. My mother was so thrilled when they choose her name. My parent's Ugo and Anne were so happy to become great-grandparents. Even thou it was a short time for my mother to be a great grandmother she and little Annie connected. Mom passed away 2005 the day after her 76th birthday. My Dad looked forward for little Annie's visits, they love talking on the phone and they love singing togethe...Expand for more
r " You are my Sunshine". My dad passed away November 2015 at the age of 90 almost 91. I'm so blessed to have Annie in my life. Annie started Karate March 2008 a few weeks before her fourth birthday Annie is in training for the BLACK BELT We are all so proud of her. My eldest son Tim does the yard work around the house and takes care of the property behind Arnoldi's Cafe. . My youngest son Bob is a machinest and head Supervisor and my handyman around my home. I would like to have spend more time with my niece Francesca and my nephew Giuseppe they both graduated from UCSB, both work at the Sheriff Department... My brother Butch is a Lt. in the Santa Barbara Sheriff Department (43 years) . Besides spending time with my granddaughter, I love working in my yard, I go a lot slower now a days. It is just great being outside enjoying God's creations. I won the award for Goleta Beautiful in 2001. That same year I took First Place at the Santa Barbara Fair and Expo. I entered my hand embroidery of a Decoy Duck. I enjoy going to thrift stores, as I never know what one may find there. The summer of 1969 my parents, brother and both set's of grandparents and I went to Italy and Switzerland. My maternal grandmother had not seen her family for over 60 years. It was wonderful meeting all of my relatives. On K-Lite 101.7 in 1999 I won a cruise to the Caribbean on the Carnival Cruise ship Paradise, went in 2000 BEAUTIFUL. .
