Jeanette's Story

Hello Fellow Classmates: I loved my High School years. I think of them often. I feel bad for any one that has not experienced those wonderful years They set the stage for the rest of our lives. I have been married for 38 years to a hard working man. Like most couples, we are as different as night and day .Sometimes I am so alone even though I we have five children and eleven and a half grandchildren. The children are all doing well and they and their mates are involved in life and the college process. Several in the medial field. A daughter in law is working on being a Doctor.A son served a mission and will son be a police officer. A younger son is soon to become an EMT and then attend Weber State for Fire School. His wife has earned an double AA in Science and is now an CRT next year will have her BS and then become an RRT. If I had my life to do over-there are many things that I would do better. I would have got better grades, be on the drill team, and pick friends that were a little more grown up. I would have learned to never trust pe...Expand for more
ople that don't have my best interests at heart. One thing I would never change is falling in love with a certain young man. After school I went to California Health College and Weber State University and studied to be a nurse. I joined the U.S. Army reserves and served in a medial unit in California. Even tho I was never able to finish my school due to life. I am not sorry at least I tryed. I learned alot from what I was able to experence. We have lived in Utah sence 1989 and settled in the Layton and Roy area. I was a CNA for ten years and a customer service technical support preoperative for AOL. I have found that sometimes it takes a lifetime to really know yourself. Don't stay doing the same old things but search for new and better things. Make your life full and your mind always open to new ideas and concepts. My Motto is: "Look out for number one-do for yourself as you reach for new goals. It is not what you have did yesterday - but what you will do today. Jeanette Long Sykes
