Jeanette's Story
I always wanted to be a cowgirl, cop or airline stewardess. What a combo ! Eventully, I was two of these.
After S'55 I settled in the San Fernando Valley with my family in Sepulveda, CA. I immediately went to work full time in Santa Monica. Spent all my spare time at the beaches. Love, love the ocean. Night times at the local clubs having fun, dance, meet friends, and a shooting pool, a "Cheers" type atmosphere every night after work.
I've worked all my life; two careers and a gazillion jobs.My favorite was LAPD. Like family & really had a good time, the jokes never stopped coming. You need a sense of humor.
After l964 I moved around a lot in the valley, then 1973 to Central Valley Foothills. I took my children to live in our country home on the river where we raised horses, swam, hiked, boating, water ski,fish, hike, explore,all the good outdoor stuff. local Deputy Sheriff-Coroner for TCSO. My home was my beat, so that worked out well as a single parent. I'm now in Real Estate Century 21 after retiring from CSP Corcoran. Versatility, the spice of life!
Springville is a wonderful place & really not that far from my old stomping grounds I do miss the city cometimes. I go to the coast and the valley as time allows. It's gotten pretty quiet up here since the kids are grown. They were and are my best friends. Springville is a quaint, friendly little town established in the 1800's.
Other than studying Criminology, Law, & Real Estate, that's about it.
I hope you have all propered well & happy with your lives !
P.S. Since the whole world reads this stuff, the one person I would like to locate & rekindle friendship with is Don Yeaman from Reseda and surrounding towns in the valley. 1956-57. Anyone know him ? The Yeaman Brothers - Where are you ???
