Jeanna's Story

Life I moved out west after college graduation and haven't looked back. I've had the great fortune of living in Casper, Wyoming, Spokane, Washington and Kalispell, Montana. All beautiful parts of the west. My husband and I moved to Cody, Wyoming in 1990 and we've been here ever since. Bob is the Vice President of a family company. His family owns a small chain of newspapers in Wyoming and Montana. I own an insurance agency. We had our first and only child, Kevin, in 1991. He is extremely active in sports (soccer, hockey and now cross-country) so we travel frequently around the region for compeition. At this point in our lives, Kevin and sports is our social life. Cody is a very small town. Our county population is only 25,000 people but it is a great place to raise a son. We live 30 miles from the east entrance into Yellowstone National Park and we enjoy skiing, hiking, camping and tropical vacations. My husband and son have developed a nw love for snow boarding and kayaking, as well. We would welcome old friends anytime. Bob and Jeanna Kennedy Box 1643 Cody, Wyoming 82414(307) 527-7750. bachelor of arts degree in broadcasting and journalism. I loved CMU and all the great fun with friends in the BCA department and the campus radio station WHMW-FM. Workplace It seems I have used my degree in a variety of positions but I have found it most useful in sales. I am currently the owner of an insurance agency in Cody, Wyoming. I sell property-casualty, auto, life and health insurance. I also assist with retirement planning. My work history includes marketing and sales at two newspapers The Casper Star Tribune in Casper, Wyoming (where I met my husband) and the Spokesman Review and Spokane Chronicle in Spokane, Washington. I also managed the Kalispell Center Mall in Kalispell, Montana. I had two very unfillfilling jobs in Cody doing marketing at the chamber of commerce and then marketing at a bank. I found I hated taking orders from small town managers so I knew I one day had to be my own boss. I love the flexibility insurance sales offers as I can pack up and leave at a moments notice to be with our son. Of course, the money isn't too bad either. I've had my own insurance agency sine 1999 and I will probably continue to grow this business until retirement.
