I always wanted to be a UN interpreter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right I just didn't follow that path.. I usually read, knit or scream at the top of my lungs. Keeps people guessing. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have peace, quiet, and chocolate to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero is a friend I lost just last week to lung cancer. Frannie had a spirit that no amount of chemo or radiation could dampen. The last time I saw her about two weeks ago I was sure she had this ugly monster, cancer, beaten but her body really couldn't take anymore and we lost her very suddenly to an infection. She was my guiding light thru the loss of my sister and my own health issues. I just pray I was the same for her. I will miss her until we meet again. I was born in Philadelphia and raised there until 1966 when we moved to Feasterville, I then moved to Chicago, then to many other places in Illinois, then back to PA and now my husband and I have settled in the beautiful state of NJ. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Terry Fleming, because we were such good friends in high school and now we have lost touch completely....Expand for more
