Jeanne's Story
Hello former classmates. After graduation, I immediately started my career at Merck until 2003, when I retired. I was fortunate to have a career that allowed me to travel stateside, abroad throughout Europe (across the pond as they say) and down under (Australia and New Zealand). I was married in 1968; my beautiful daughter, Jacquie, was born in 1969. First husband passed away at the age of 34. Marriage #2 was in 1976; my son was born in 1982. Vermont (we're called "flatlanders" by Vermonters). My daughter moved close by last year and my son is in the military. He's an Army Ranger assigned to Special Forces as a UAV pilot. Earlier in my retirement, I became an active trader in the stock market and was a volunteer mentor to other women who were interested in learning how to manage their finances. Bromley, my ragdoll cat, has been with me for eight years and is the perfect companion. Now that everyday is a holiday, I can continue to enjoy the relaxing pace of retirement.
