Jeanne's Story
Life
I'm still living in Fort Worth (Keller), Texas. I've been here 28 years the end of March and love Texas, but always miss Coloroado (Boulder and skiing). My mother and oldest brother still live in Boulder in the house I grew up in (although my brother has substantially remodeled the house). I've been married 28 wonderful years to Gary (Ed Day and I parted ways when our daughter, Tracy, was only 2 1/2). I met Gary when Tracy was three and we've been together ever since. Tracy, her husband and our two precious granddaughters (6 and 8) live right next door to us (they have our old house and we built a new one and moved in 12/31/1999--2000 was a great New Year). We love having our granddaughters next door and they come for frequent sleepovers at grandma and grandpa's. I graduated from the University of North Texas in May of ...Expand for more
2000 with a BBA. I've worked for Alcon Laboratories (ophthalmic pharmaceuticals) for 20 years (I'm a project manager in Information Technology). I love my job, but it's stressful and the work load is extreme. Fortunately, I thrive under those conditions. My husband and I love to fish; we have a trailer and four acres at Lake Fork (world class bass fishing) in east Texas. We plan to build a retirement home there in the next couple of years. I'm an excellent bass fisherman (woman). I will have to post some pictures of my catches (the guys will be shocked--my biggest bass is a little over eight pounds--my husband's is a little over 11 pounds). I love the outdoors and will do anything and everything outside, but forget about women's work (it's not my thing). I would rather be mowing and weed-eating. It's a good-happy-blessed life!
