Jeanne's Story
After having lived in Okinawa and other parts of the US, I am once again living in Kent. I have been fortunate to have traveled in the US, Canada, Africa, Japan, Europe and most recently spent five weeks in the British Isles.
I am currently married to Stan, my high school sweetheart. We both married others after graduating from KM, but found our way back together in 1995. He has two daughters and three grandsons. I have a daughter and a son, two granddaughters and a grandson. We are blessed to have the whole family live within a 90 minute drive so we are involved with the kids as much as possible.
I am on staff at my church as the choir director and pianist. If you knew me in school, that will not surprise you. Music is still a large part of my life and it brings me great joy to use my talents to bless others. My free time is l...Expand for more
argely spent sewing. Our group makes a variety of items for local nursing homes and homeless shelters; Children's, UW and Virginia Mason Hospitals; the Pediatric Interim Critical Care facility in Kent as well as various missionaries around the world.
One of my favorite quotes is:"âÂÂ"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson.
