Jeanne's Story
Life
Married to Wayne, a blacksmith, for45 years. No children. Many animals; horse, goats, dog, cats, donkeys, pony. Taught in Hancock Maryland - I am now a widow. Taught Elementary school for 38 years . Live in south central PA. on a 75 acre ranch. Have been an extra and wardrobe girl for several independent western films. Have written and acted in numerous plays and started a community theater. A member of the Lions club and enjoy participating at open mic nights singing and playing guitar. I have written a book called This Man Called Bunk. You can purchase it on Amazon or Barnes and Nobel and other retail bookstores. It is about my grandfather who disappeared in 1926. I mention a lot about the Essex area and northwest Baltimore. I would appreciate it if you would purchase a copy. It will bring back the good old days but it is also a mystery. Hope you enjoy it.
If I won $100 million, I'd give a lot of it to Save the Burro and Wild Horse Association, then spend the rest on landscaping, travel and building a cabin in the woods.
My best friend would tell you I'm funny...Expand for more
and outgoing, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as stuck up and stuffy. That's because I'm basically shy.
My grandmother owned Josenhans' store on the corner of Back River Neck and Old Eastern Avenue. I think I had the best growing up years ever! The house I grew up in was where 702 is now. When I visit relatives in Middle River, I go past the old store and think of the great times I had there. Sad, but very happy memories. My grandfather owned Essex Saw and Tool Grinding on Back River Neck Road. The first Pizza John's was located in one of his stores. I still go to Pizza John's every time I visit relatives.
Just retired after 38 years in the Maryland public school system. Feel like I've been in school all my life. Freedom is nice!
My husband and I participate in the National PIke Wagon Train in mid May. It consists of about 28 wagons and we travel with police escort from Clear Spring, Maryland to Boonsboro, Maryland, approximately 37 miles, with stops along the way. It is a 3 day event. We use our team of mules or our team of Percherons.
