Jeanne's Story
Life
After High School I worked at the former Continental Screw Co in the computer department. In 1965 I married and moved to East Falmouth in 1968 to be near my husband's job. In 1974 my husband and I opened an Auto Parts Store. We sold it in 1983. I started working in a Bank in 1984 in the certificate of deposit department as it was called at the time. Iworked myself up to Assistant Treasurer in the operations department. I was also the human resources officer and the Administrative Assistant to the President. Co-operative Bank and Secretary of Falmouth Bancorp. Inc. The Bank was sold in 2004 to Rockland Trust Co. Since they had 38 people doing my job and the fact that my husband had alzheimers I chose to leave the Bank. In August of 2004 I started working at Falmouth Lumber Co as the assistant to the Treasurer. In November of 2006 I retired due to my husbands illness. My husband died in December 2006. I am the mother of four children, three boys and one girl and the grandmother of six with another on the way. I now worked parttime at Falmouth Lumber.
