Jeanne Marie's Story
most of my early work after I graduated from Knox College in Galesburg was in Democratic Politics. I had the opportunity to work in several Presidential, Gubnatorial, congressional and local campaigns. For I while I served as an Administrative Assistant to a two Chicago mayors and was the Press secretary for an Illinois Attorney General. Politics gave me many rare opportunities-- but two of the best were: electing my mother to the post of Oak Park Trustee and I meeting my husband of 27 years -- an attorney Tom Bradley. anaging Editor of the The journal in Kankakee, and my youngest sister, Vicki Schultz has just begun a job with the Obama's Department of Justice- Civil Rights division. I continue to lobby on behalf of proper funding for Illinois schools with a group I founded the Coalition for Excellence, as well as continuing to work for a variety of progressive candidates.
I would love to hear from member's of the Hawthrone class of 71, OPRF class of 1975 and the Knox college class of 1979. I only attended the 25th reunion but was delighted to meet so many warm and welcoming classmates. Time does stress the things we have in common doesn't it! All the best to all of you out there.
