Jeannette's Story
My Life? - Well, let's see....after graduation I wasted quite a few more years in the Bay Area. In the mid 80s I moved to Santa Barbara. Our family goes back 11 generations there. The only reason I was in the Bay Area being my bio father was offered a professorship in Biology at CAL. Moving to Santa Barbara was absolutely the best thing I ever did! There I worked at a physical rehab hospital (The Rehabilitation Institute at Santa Barbara), went to school and became a model. What fun that was. Met many interesting people, Everyday people and celebrities. Many friends from there to this day. Even dated a couple of those celebrities; i.e. David Copperfield, Herman Rarebell, etc. In 1990 I met the man who would become my husband.
We were married at a friends El Capitan Ranch Estate. After our we honeymooned I moved to Redondo Beach, CA :), where "he" lived and worked (very difficult leaving good friends, family and Santa Barbara). Luckily, I still own an apartment building there so.....we will return 🤞🏻!!!
My working life in L.A. included working at KLOS. So fun. Worked with Mark & Brian and sold air (National Advertising). The benefits were amazing. Met more celebrities than I can count. Most were jerks, but there were a few that stood out as amazing, i.e. Dick Van Dyke, etc.!!! Also, killer concerts and events! Lots of fun. Great job in L.A. Auditioned for Price is Right on a whim 🤣.
In 1998 I had our beautiful daughter, on my husband's birthday no less. (Didn't have to shop that year!!!) We moved from Redondo Beach, CA to Palos Verdes, CA in 12/99. We live in a magnificent home in a spectacular city, in absolutely the greatest neighborhood ever! AND we're blessed to be surrounded by good friends who love life.
So.....my life, thus far, has been amazing, Many tough life lessons were taught to me (high school being the toughest). Thankfully, today I am blessed with a lifestyle that affords me the luxury of witnessing daily the miracle that is my daughter. (Invest in real estate!) She's truly the gift for which my life was meant. We are currently ...Expand for more
suffering the pains of empty nesting. My beauty is brilliant and beautiful inside and out. Straight A's since 1st grade!!!! Valedictorian in High School with a 4.8 weighted GPA!!! Of course all this translates into her pick of schools and as it turns out a great deal of tuition $!!!! Thank goodness for that Presidential Scholar Fellowship!! As luck would have it she felt most comfortable at a east coast university. So very far away!!!! But she loved it!!!!
And now she is attending grad school on that east coast . She is a PhD candidate in Astrophysics. It is her fervent wish to work at NASA/JPL discovering more about Dark Matter and Black Holes, etc..❣️❣️❣️. In her first year she has already launched an experiment on a rocket from White Sands, NM. The series of these launches will change space history as we know it. Ciber-2 it’s called. She’ll be the only girl and lead on the next launch. Proud doesn’t even come close.
UPDATE: Well, it’s true what they say; make plans and God laughs. My brilliant/beautiful daughter was offered her dream job and left grad school with a Masters in Astrophysics. On top of the BS in Mechanical Engineering she earned in undergrad at Bucknell University. She just came back to the west coast after 6 years and will soon start her dream job at NASA/JPL. 💗💗💗. She officially became part of the NASA Family 3 weeks ago. She’s over the moon. Pun intended!!!!! 🥰💕🪐⭐️🚀🌏
What a gift it ALL turned out to be. I wouldn't change a minute of it! Well...maybe a couple. But, it's true what "they" say, to truly appreciate all that life has to offer one must experience tough life lessons. I wish to thank each of you that taught me those lessons. Without you I would never have been taught the most important lesson in life, in brilliant technicolor..."treat others the way you wish to be treated". 💞
Wishing you all love, health & endless laughter 💕
Love and light to you all!!!!!
It is my sincere hope that those reading this have experienced equal or, if possible, more blessings in their life journeys.
