Jeannine's Story
After graduation, I went to UofO for a year. Didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, so I went to travel school for the next year, but ended up working in hotels instead. Not quite what I had in mind. I had my baby, Ian, (now 16! and 6 feet tall) in '91 and stayed home with him for the first 3 years. Went back to school, got my AA at COCC, bought an art gallery and ran it while I commuted once a week to Portland and finished up my BS in Human Development at Warner Pacific College. Sold the gallery and went to work, but not in the field I had hoped (everyone wanted a Masters Degree). Met my husband, Larry, at work and we got married in 2000. He has two daughters from a previous marriage. My mom died of cancer in 2002, 11 days after my husband's mom died. That was a hard year. nd myself trying to decide what is next! Not quite ready to get my Masters in Social Work or Counseling as my son still has 2 years of high school to go. I have homeschooled Ian for the past 5 years, but he'll join the real world for his Jr and Sr years. I lead 2 4H clubs: Photography and Boy's Cooking. We are working on getting Ian to Japan this summer through the 4H International Outbound Exchange Program, so lots of fundraising! I love being a mom and wife! We have 2 dogs that adopted us: Daisy and Muku. I fill my time selling candles through PartyLite - love the candles! I am actually really excited about this being our 20 year reunion.
