Jeesue's Story

Hi. I have a tongue in cheek humor. I love standup. I hope no one takes things too seriously. I'm the youngest of four, and due to age gap and etc. I did grow up with a lot of fear after moving to America in my neighborhood. But aside, I do feel as in the movie, Sunset in my Hometown (kdrama), I do have to resolve and face certain issues that occurred at Lynbrook, so that I don't feel like I'm running away, although I'm at where I'm specialized in. What was a thorn like grad school, music composition, and the art industry - I was able to complete all the bucket lists so to speak in SoCal, from law school, mba, to Ascap, and film festivals, pro photographer recently, and now, as research writer while traveling to onsite locations. I never envisioned this kind of life while at Lynbrook, but the pursuit did come from being clueless about where I come from, and the Korean War that both my parents lived and fought through but never told me all these years. So, I'm trying to memorialize them, esp. my father. I did have a few people with Hate comments respond on social media. One, after I discovered that all her partners were my roommates and colleagues, she text that I haven't done much in life, and didn't amount to much (literally she text me this). I thought how sad, as I'm so thankful of seeing this wonderful world, and I have bucket lists of things still left, and to her, it's about being an executive, money, and etc. That's not appealing to me, esp. to photographer and writer, the arts and education - it sure ain't. When she did that though, it really took me back, and I unfriended everyone from LHS on social media. And the reunion, once again, hate comments and DM's were ridiculous that I even searched or tried or EVEN HAVE THE TIME to travel to another class reunion. That and others who literally showed up at my mom's salon, and their mothers begging me to call them - all after time, threw me under the bus to get a social life with LHS connection. That is really sad. I responded to someone saying she parties every night, comes back at 5am after having a child, saying that's what her life is like - with my own in LA, and of course, the reunion people twist things around....Expand for more
So, if I knew you then, I do get personal emails and I explain certain things. I do get the jitters sometimes as I come across the STRANGEST people, oh my lord, let me tell you. That's why I love comedy. I had a recent facebook encounters with a few LHS people, and I was really glad as I always want to remember LHS in a good way, but do admit having my face slammed by Duclos in 9th grade volleyball, I do wonder why the hate in San Jose, with the class laughing. And also Lee with a birdie at my face, yet asking for a ride. Another person, my mom gave her a stylist hair after lord awful corn row pigtails in the 9th grade yearbook, then she gets spooky, asks daily for a ride, and etc. And then throw me under the bus, and say lord awful things, I wonder as a reunion or keeping in touch is not about that, but sharing our pursuits of what we wanted to pursue after LHS, like the arts and putting that into an art form continually. I feel maybe San Jose is like that, I don't know. But don't believe the 3rd person, without checking the facts first. Do question their motives. If I say F you about an incident, it's not that I'm stuck on it, I just want to clear the air of what happened should I felt it was cold, and wish for an explanation of clear a misunderstanding of sorts. Because unfortunately in our memories, those few brutal incidents DO cloud the nice memories. That's all. I am looking fwd to our 40th. I did project livestream at the 20th, and with zoom now. I feel also like I would NEVER EVER dress up for a goofy reunion. Plz make it pizza and beer hello. TOTALLY CASUAL PLZ. omg. To Jackie Ro, and others, memorialized too. That's my feedback. I haven't been to San Jose in like 20 years or so, driving through a few times, so it was weird to come back this year to visit and stay several days. After going back to my hometown of Busan, it's a nice comparison of then and now, between a city and a burb, and how different it is. I felt like a tourist taking photos in downtown, and actually the AC after Hawaii made me faint in Willow Glen. It was awful. But I'm sure all of you are enjoying life and all the world has to offer. Just avoid the haters is all I can advise. :) CIAO!
