Jeff's Story
After graduating in 1971, I went to the U of M to get my Bachelor of Arts (74) and Bachelor of Education (76). I then taught school for 2 1/2 years in Lac du Bonnet and Hugh John MacDonald in Winnipeg. I married Suzanne Mulaire, (who I met while lifeguarding in St. Malo in the summer of 1972) in 1978. In 1979 I left the teaching profession to attend law school at the U of M. I graduated in 1982 and was called to the Bar of Manitoba in 1983. Myers Weinberg LLP since 1996. My practice focuses on First Nations law, particularly the negotiation and litigation of land and flood claims.
Suzanne and I have 3 kids ages 22, 23 and 26. Suzanne recently retired from teaching. We have lived in St. Norbert for the past 15 years. Previously, we lived in St. Adolphe and Winnipeg.
I still have regular contact with Wendy Restrick (Popovich)(class of 71), Phil Matthes (class of 70), Les Kojima (class of 70, Doreen Sango (class of 71), and Vienna Badiuk (class of 71).
