Jeff's Story
In High School I would be recognized by that long shag hair cut and the aviator glasses with tinted lenses on top of my super slender frame. I was known most intimately by the party crowd but took a big break from that scene in my junior year. One of those life altering experiences that most don't get the privilege of going through until much later in life. That left me with my closest friends Joe Barker, Chuck Hecker, and Levie Willis and I remained aloof from anyone I saw as caught too deep in the vices of our day. I was also in TV and Radio Broadcasting at Ft. Hayes so my time at North was limited. I never followed that career path because I idealistically held on to my rock star dream. I ambitiously became a restaurant rat and a dive bar diva for most of my 20's. Well seriously I did have record label guys drinking beer with my band in the late 80's. Been writing songs on guitar pretty consistently since 83. Got married and helped bring a baby boy into this world in 89/90 at which ...Expand for more
point I got licensed as a Massage Therapist. By the mid 90's I was sucked into Corporate America most notably spending 7 years with one of the most scandalous, Enron Corp! I regularly slapped myself in the head and said "how does this company stay in business?" That didn't end so well and at the end of my illustrious career another boy slipped thru the cracks providing us with a teen and a toddler and the same time. Plus the senior citizen ribbon we'll be wearing at his high school graduation. After playing around with multiple business ventures and the Office Space cubicle culture I decided to return to Massage Therapy and do something I love and have a gift for. Been a full time LMT for four and a half years. I also went through a divorce in the last 4 years and have written some of my best songs during this time. I'm thinking maybe I should just record that full length record and get it over with before I die. So that's the nutshell of the last 35 years and the story ain't over yet.
