Jeffrey's Story
Been quite awhile since I updated here. I got remarried in April 2010 to an amazing woman, Sharon, and we are enjoying life. Sharon works for Allstate and is now a top producer handling major injury claims. She is a Fighting Illini alum and we share a love of college sports and family fun. We both doubled our family size - now we both have 4 daughters instead of two. Don't know what I was thinking!!
Arielle is 28 now, married and a mom! She gave me a beautiful granddaughter who turns 9 in January. Ari graduated from Grand Canyon University with a bachelors degree in Secondary Education (Cum Laud) and a masters degree in organizational leadership. She now works for Grand Canyon Univ. and is an active Girl Scout mom.
Kelsey is 25 now, and attending Sam Houston State Univ in Huntsville TX to get her PhD in Criminal Justice. She completed her bachelors degree in Psychology at Utah State in 3 years, and then got her masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State. Hayley turns 24 in March. She finished up her bachelors degree in Biology from the U of A (of course that makes her my favorite!) and is waiting to hear if she has been accepted into the U of A accelerated masters in nursing program. In the meantime she is a supervisor at Starbucks and gets me lots of free coffee :)
Emily is our baby at 20. She just graduated from Arizona Western College with honors and is deciding where she wants to go next to pursue a career in physical therapy assisting. In the meantime she is working at Petsmart and counting the days until she gets out of Yuma!
I am now the City Engineer for the City of Yuma, with a countdown timer going for my July 1, 2021 retirement date. Will be going into my business, which is currently a side hustle, full time then. I am a leadership development coach and trainer, and also do a lot of speaking. I am also writing, and my first book should be released in the summer of 2020.
My family has so many blessings, and we hope yours does too.
