Jeff's Story
Life
Wow, my bio. Well, most people won't remember me. During school, I had quite the identity crisis happening. Evryone made fun of me for the way I talked. So I began isolating and rebelling. It was at good ol Centereach that I blew my knee out in a soccer game.
Things would not change. Summer of graduation before I left for my first attempt at college, I was in a serious car accident in Islip and suffered a closed head injury that profoundly changed me.
From there I re-started a life of substance abuse thta began during school. Throughout the end of the eighties and mid-90s I discovered the wonderful world of alcohol and cocaine. I partied pretty hard through that time making up for the miserable time I had in high school. Finally, I decided it was time to do somethi...Expand for more

I went back to college and received a dual degree in journalism and computer science with minors in Poli Sci and Literature.
From there I began work for the largest private owned corporation in the U.S. in their international Public Relations dept. Life had started to improve. I decided to go on to law school. I passed with flying colors.
However, tragedy struck in my life again. When I moved to Michigan, I started dating this woman who was secretly a heroin addict. I soon would become a heroin addict.
No I am completely substance free and learning to live life. The days of Centereach are just a passing thought. But I still reflect upon them fondly. I would like to get those people I never really got to know or those I didn't let get to know me.
