Jeff's Story

I have lived in the Gardendale/North Jefferson County area since graduating from high school. I went to UAB and received a BS in Civil Engineering in 1984 and, except for a brief period from 2007 to 2009, have worked in the Birrmingham area. I currently work at an engineering company in Midfield. I have two children - my son, Dean, is 24, and my daughter, Emily, is 21. My son is in the Air ...Expand for more
Force and is stationed in Alaska, and my daughter attends Troy University. I divorced in 2003 after being married for 17 years. I now spend my time working, playing music, and attending as many concerts and bluegrass festivals as possible. I still play guitar, and also have been playing banjo for about 20 years. I presently play banjo in a local Bluegrass band, and I teach guitar and banjo.
