Jeff's Story
I Left school a pimply faced unpopular kid, worked a few low paying jobs.
Then I opened uncle Sam's wholesale fireworks and made some real money. When the law said I could not do that anymore, I moved to Florida.
Got involved in the legal import/export business and started to travel.
Sometime around 1986 I found a great opportunity in Korea, bought a small medical supplies manufacturing company.
Over the next four years we built it into Korea's largest producer of PVC extruded medical supplies, including syringes, IV set's, and , well about 100 products in our line.
When we started exporting Insulin syringes to Europe and the USA. We attracted the attention of the world's largest maker of the same type of supplies, and the offer they made was to good to turn down.
Money in my pocket, and tired after working 7 days a week 15 hours a day, I took a vacation to see south America. While I was there I met Gaby, my best friend and Business partner to this day.
if you look at some of my photos you can see her in some of them.
Anyway, we saw the people in the mountains of Peru working with their Alpaca's as they have for more then 4 thousand years. but when they sheared the ...Expand for more
Alpaca, all the fiber went to Europe, so the people made very little money.
That just seemed wrong, So Gaby and I opened G&J Enterprises, we are now the worlds largest manufacture of Alpaca products.
Our Brand name is INCA'S INC. You can find our products in stores like Nordstroms, Saks,Bergdorf's,at the bon in Paris, and many more.
We also supply small boutiques , you may have seen the Inca's store on the bay front for many years in Newport, Oregon. You may have bought some of my products, if so, Thank you.
I still own that company and my home in Lima, Peru, but now I also live part time in Hanoi, Vietnam, Where I am the Chairman of Global Carbon Resources JSC. we make activated carbon for filter systems.
If you have a brita water filter in your home, my product is what filters the water for you. and once again thank you. We have raw material centers in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Sri,Lanka.
Life has been very good to the man, that once was, probably the most unpopular kid in school.
For those of you who were nice back then, I hope you are doing well and have found true happiness in your life. Oh and for those of you that were not, who's laughing now. Regards, Jeff
