Life
The short bio:
Graduated from UW-Parkside in December 1983 (didn't say I was a fast student). I then left for graduate (gradual) school at the University of Texas at Austin (1984). Got married (Carol), got my PhD in Organic Chemistry (1990, did I say I was slow?), and got a kid (1992). Stayed at UT-Austin as a Postdoctoral Fellow the Botany department for a few more years while the Mrs. got her PhD. Took another postdocto...Expand for more
ral appointment at Carnegie Mellon University in the Center for Light Microscope Imaging and Biotechnology (1994). Got another kid (1996). Left Pittsburgh for a position as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Mercer University in Macon GA (1997). Have now been in the geographic center of Georgia for 7 years. Most recently promoted to Associate Professor, and received Tenure. More info found at the Chemistry Department Website.
