Jeff's Story
Life
After graduation, I goofed off in college for a few years before figuring out I had no idea what I wanted to major in. I got married to a hot blonde and thought maybe I should find a way to support her financially. So, after one of my friends told me how much he was enjoying the Coast Guard, I thought it sounded like an interesting idea.
During my time in the USCG, I've attended electronics training and have been stationed in Michigan, Virginia, Hawaii and (currently) Ohio. I've been stationed on 2 ships that have sailed to port calls in Europe (including several former Soviet countries),...Expand for more
Africa, Japan, Canada and Alaska (brrr) and plenty of tropical islands in the Carribean Sea and South Pacific.
I recently attained the rank of Chief. While stationed in Virginia, I finally went back to college and completed a BS in Computer Information Systems - with honors! It's amazing what you can accomplish when you find the motivation (having a wife and kids to support was mine).
Speaking of kids - my wife and I have 3 daughters and they keep us pretty busy. None are teenagers yet, so life is good (the shotgun is loaded and ready to go, though). Now, if I could just fix my golf swing...
